The Salt Lake Valley Science & Engineering Fair (SLVSEF) is open to students in grades 5-12. Each year, SLVSEF nominates the top 10% of participating 6-8th graders for Broadcom MASTERS, a national science and engineering competition for middle school students.

 

In 2016, over 79% of the nominated SLVSEF students applied to Broadcom MASTERS. As a result of this high application rate, SLVSEF won a $500 prize in June.

 

Broadcom MASTERS will announce the 300 semi-finalists on September 6 and 30 finalists on September 20. We wish the best of luck to the SLVSEF students!
